Obviously, it is so disgusting if getting a head of greasy hair, and this feeling is not new for those who are prone to oily scalp. As we all know, many factors result in hair oiliness, including the internal, like stress, genetics or hormonal changes, and the external, such as over-processing and improper shampooing or inappropriate products.
When it comes to the solutions to the latter, if you find that no amount of cleansing or dry shampoo seem to stop or relieve the problem, you are suggested to look into the way of shampooing, since the products you are using seem to have nothing to do with the matter. Speaking of the technique of shampooing, Mark Hill, a British celebrity hairstylist who has cooperated with AnnaSophia Robb, Olivia Palermo, Lake Bell and Molly Sims, gave his explanation.
“Oily hair is one of the problems I get asked about in the salon on a daily basis. Those who suffer with it know the frustrations it causes only too well. Some people don’t like to shampoo their hair every day, but if you are using the right products and techniques, there is no reason why you shouldn’t,” said Mark Hill, “When you shampoo, you need to make sure you cleanse the root area well, but be careful not to massage your scalp too much as this will stimulate the oil-producing glands and make the problem worse. Use the palms of your hands, not your fingers, to apply the shampoo and rub gently until your hair feels clean.”
