The realistic Disney princess characters are the works of Buzzfeed’s Loryn Brantz. Besides the realistic hair look, she once produced the “Disney Princesses With Realistic Waistlines.” Why she created these illustrations? What she spoke to The Huffington Post explained it.
“As a woman who loves Disney and has dealt with body image issues, it has been something I have always wanted to comment on, particularly after seeing ‘Frozen,’ said Brantz. She also added: “While I loved the film, I was horrified that the main feamale character designs haven’t changed since the ‘60s.”
