Summer is here, and it is time for us to collect and enjoy the most wonderful moments of this season, such as having a wonderful trip with someone you love, eating ice cream or drinking icy coco cola, and trying out new hairstyles. In terms of new hairstyles, one thing can not be neglected–trendy hair color. Among all hair colors, bronde should be one of the most popular hair colors in this season.

Well, what do I mean by bronde? It is a mixed color of blonde and brown, making it a combo term for a dye job, according to Suave Professional hairstylist Marcus Francis. Compared with ombre, this new color is less intense, and it is more impactful while compared to simple blonde streaks.

After having basic knowledge of bronde, we may need to learn how can we make this color work for us.

According to celebrity stylist Mario Ortega of Rik Rak Salon in Florida, for those who have darker hair and a tan skin tone, golden, multidimensional tones look amazing. “But id you are paler, ash tones will look great. Either way, just make sure the contrast isn’t too far from your roots,” said Ortega.

We can try face-framing highlights in warmer tones like gold, honey, caramel, and cognac, in case that we are not ready to put on a full head of bronde color, according to Meri Kate O’Connor, senior colorist at Eva Scrivo Salon in New York City.

“Keeping your color bright around your face and darker at the crown and back is the key to natural, sun-kissed hair,” say Meri Kate. “Plus, it mimics the way the sun will lighten your hair as well.”

Another bonus along with this new hair color technique lies in its low-maintenance. Different from dyeing our hair totally blonde, this one will not give us high-contrast dark roots. Unlike full-on vibrant red or brown, the bronde shade we dye will not go with straight-across root line. The hair color keeps our hair roots looking natural as they grow out, similar to the foilyage trend. Of course, one of the most wonderful elements for our going for bronde is the final glamorous hair look.
